The Council of the Rural Municipality of Woodlands is very concerned with the current dry conditions. In order to control fires a burning ban is being designated within the boundaries of the Rural Municipality of Woodlands. The burning ban is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice. The burning ban includes, but is not limited to, camp fires, garbage burning, yard waste or agricultural waste burning.
Please note that if a fire is lit during this period and becomes out of control the person who lights the fire will be held responsible for resulting damages and costs as per By-law 2720/19.
